Anti-Wrinkle & Dermal Filler
FAQs
What is the difference between Anti Wrinkle and Dermal filler?
An Anti-Wrinkle treatment is a muscle relaxant that reduces facial muscle contractions to prevent or soften the formation of wrinkles.
Whereas, a Dermal Filler treatment is to fill in volume loss and fine lines/wrinkles, to contour, and to simply enhance the natural features of the face.
How Does Anti-Wrinkle treatment work?
Anti-wrinkle treatment works by blocking the signals from the nerve to the muscles which reduces the muscles ability to contract.
Is Dermal filler safe?
Yes. We use only FDA approved products. Dermal filler is made up of Hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a substance that occurs naturally in the cells of the skin. The treatment is reversible and we have medications that can immediately dissolve the product to reduce any risks and complications.
How Long Does an Anti Wrinkle treatment last?
It takes up to 14 days for results to peak. The effects will normally last from 3 to 6 months depending on your body's metabolism and other factors as it varies for everyone. Regular top-ups are recommended at the most conservative doses for maintenance in which will be discussed during the consultation.
Are there any after-care instructions?
After your treatment, we will go through with you any aftercare advice for the best results and avoid any undesirable side effects.
You can resume normal activities, drive yourself home or return to work immediately after the treatment, however, no extreme exercises and saunas for the next 24 hrs as we need time for the treatment to settle and integrate into the muscle/tissue properly.
As with any type of injection, there may be some slight redness immediately after the treatment. Keep in mind that the results after should not be seen as the final result because over the following two weeks the results will gradually improve.
How soon will I see any result and how long does it last for Dermal filler?
Results are seen instantly after the treatment for dermal filler, and this gradually improves overtime from the following 2–4 weeks. Results can last between 6–18 months although optimal results can be maintained over a long period of time through regular treatments at least once a year. The longevity varies from person to person depending on your requirements.
Who Should Not Get Anti-Wrinkle and Dermal Fillers?
Not everybody can get treatment as you need to be the right candidate for it. We do a detailed consultation of your medical history and a full assessment to ensure that our clients are safe for treatments.
Unfortunately, people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have neurological diseases cannot go ahead with the treatments.
